(1911–66), Irish novelist and journalist; pseudonym of Brian O'Nolan. Writing under the name of Myles na Gopaleen, he contributed a satirical column to the Irish Times for nearly twenty years. Notable novels: At Swim-Two-Birds (1939) and The Third Policeman (1967).
