A series of mountain ranges extending westwards from Alice Springs in Northern Territory, Australia. The highest peak is Mount Zeil, which rises to a height of 1,531 m (5,023 ft).
Named after Sir Richard MacDonnell, governor of South Australia when John McDouall Stuart explored the ranges in 1860.
