The well-preserved corpse of an Iron Age man (c.500 BC–AD 400) found in 1950 in a peat bog in central Jutland, Denmark. Around the neck was a plaited leather noose, indicating that Tollund Man had met his death by hanging.
Named after Tollund Fen, where it was found.
